Fracture Sounds releases "Petrichor: Earthy Winds" and free "Blueprint: Gentle Winds" for Kontakt Player
Fracture Sounds has released Petrichor: Earthy Winds in collaboration with composer and sample library creator Dan Keen. It is their first collaboration since their Woodchester Piano release in 2018 created with Bleeding Fingers and Frozen Planet II composer James Everingham, and it is Dan Keen's follow-up to his Soft String Textures.
The library is a contemporary ensemble of Woodwind instruments incorporating different Saxophones, Clarinets, and Flutes. It is packaged in Fracture Sounds' brand new Kontakt interface that introduces multi-articulation switching and stacking, alongside their Atmospheric sound design layers and orchestral programming.
The library also introduces an articulation unique to the sampling world with Smart Trills, an intricate programming technique which tracks the chords you play and intelligently selects the correct interval available for that range. For Petrichor this enables automatic selection between Maj2, Min3, and Maj3 chords.
Petrichor: Earthy Winds is available on intro offer for $59 (Reg. $79) until December 21st. During the Black Friday sale only, combine Petrichor with Midnight Grand in the 99 Bundle, and save 40%.
Blueprint: Gentle Winds is also available featuring experiments conducted for Dan Keen's Petrichor library. Recordings of an array of Saxophones and Recorders were made and combined with Fracture Sounds' atmospheric sound design to form a library of woodwind textures. Blueprint: Gentle Winds is available for free.
