Klangfreund releases Multimeter for macOS, Windows & Linux

-
Klangfreund

Klangfreund has released the Multimeter, a plugin and standalone application to measure and monitor loudness, peaks and dynamics.

Multimeter includes ITU/EBU compliant integrated loudness in LUFS, peak and true peak measurement, LRA, PSR and PLR. It works in real-time or up to 200 times faster using its audio and video file analysis mode. It comes with presets for popular streaming services and region specific loudness recommendations.

The resizable and scalable interface includes customizable graphs, bar charts and a list viewer with tabulated numerical measurement results.

The graphs can be freely scrolled and scaled, and the sort order in the list viewer changed, even during an ongoing measurement. A text file (.csv format) containing the measurement results can be saved.

After a measurement, the built-in gain function can automatically match the analysed audio to a given loudness target. The gain slider can be manually changed at any time, with all graphs and measurement numbers immediately updated. True peak over-indicators are displayed in the graph area and adjust automatically, as needed, when the built-in gain is changed.

The unique synchronisation mechanism pioneered by Klangfreund in the LUFS Meter is available, too. Combined with its low CPU requirements, the Multimeter provides a fast way to create initial faders-up mixes using Multimeters in all audio tracks. A novel synchronised undo/redo mechanism for the gain adjustment further enhances the Multimeter for this type of use.

Surround channel layouts with up to 64 channels are supported. The Multimeter determines the channel weighting needed for the loudness measurement according to the provided surround layout (either provided by a plugin host or by meta data in a file). Alternatively the weighting can be set manually.

The Multimeter is available for macOS 10.7 or newer (AAX, AAX AudioSuite, AU, VST, VST3 and standalone), Windows XP or newer (AAX, AAX AudioSuite, VST, VST3 and standalone) and Linux (VST and standalone) in 32 and 64-bit.

Price: $59 - A free trial version and attractive upgrades for LUFS Meter license owners are available.
