Koblo revises NexSyn (New Price, New Size, New Presets)

KeyToSound (Koblo)

Koblo has announced the re-release of the KeyToSound NexSyn software synthesizer. NexSyn is now offered at the much lower price of $49.99 via Koblo's online store (the current version is 1.1 r16).

Now consisting of a core library of waveform sounds with additional sounds soon to be offered as expansion packs, NexSyn is now a manageable 130 MB Download. The preset library has been completely refined, with Presets grouped by type and sound to make browsing quick and easy, and now includes presets designed by Pro-Sounds sound designers Frank Genus, Torben Hansen and Bryan Lee, as well as presets by musicians DirtyHertz, brian botkiller and many others.

NexSyn, designed by Koblo Co-Founder Max Gronlund, is a powerful Hybrid Synthesizer with a huge range of loadable oscillator types to meet the sound demands of modern musicians and composers. NexSyn is capable of loading sample-based keymap files, in the proprietary XWM (Extended Wave Memory) format. It features a powerful and feature-rich synthesizer engine, and is the only one of its kind to offer NetNotes, an online preset browsing and sharing service which allows users to find new sounds for NexSyn in seconds via the Internet. NexSyn also features a true stereo signal path, which gives NexSyn a "lifelike sound", and an ultra-tweakable interface which will appeal to sound designers of all kinds.

NexSyn's XWM sound-sets are provided by Big Fish Audio. NexSyn comes packaged with 130 megabytes of XWM synthesizer-based sounds, which can be loaded into two of NexSyn's three Oscillators. More XWM soundpacks will be offered via Koblo.com, with sounds ranging from Pianos to Orchestral and Percussive sounds, and more. These XWM sound-packs will be offered at extremely low prices, allowing users the chance to easily expand their synthesizer's sounds.

NexSyn is compatible with Mac OS X (Universal Binary) and Windows (XP, Vista), and comes standard in RTAS, VST and AU plug-in formats, as well as a Standalone application.
