Music Hackspace releases over 600 hours of music technology courses accessible via exclusive tiered memberships

Music Hackspace

Music Hackspace has launched membership access to its catalogue of on-demand and live courses focused on advanced music technology topics. These courses range from sound design to immersive audio and generative music, and are destined to help professionals develop new skills and support music technology students learn from practitioners.

Each membership lasts for 12 months and there are three tiers available. The first tier is free, and grants access to a growing collection of over 100 introduction classes on-demand, as well as future access to all upcoming introduction live classes held each month online.

Two further membership tiers are priced at £100 ($121) and £290 ($349). These higher tiers offer access to even more content, with all paid classes live and on-demand for the next 12 months, with a combined value of £2,500 ($3,000). The higher tiers will have a minimum of 3 new live courses each month.

Music Hackspace's teaching programme started in 2020, led by over 50 music technology experts from around the world. It has received support from technology brands including Cycling' 74, Derivative, Ableton, Android, Arturia, iZotope, and UK Arts organisations Sound and Music and the Arts Council.

Our current audience is primarily composed of professional artists, but with the launch of our membership tiers, we aim to work with academic institutions to offer students high-quality learning materials to support them in their studies and opportunities to meet professionals.

Dr Jean-Baptiste Thiebaut, Founder and CEO of Music Hackspace

Music Hackspace has recently recruited music technology veteran Phelan Kane (BIMM, Deutsch Pop) as Head of Education, and Balraj Jutla as head of technology.
