NovoNotes has announced the release of a significant update for SideRack, expanding possibilities for real-time use cases, saying:
This update enables latency adjustment by a newly added option "Buffer Size Multiplier". It's crucial to keep this value low to decrease latency; however, setting it too low may exceed your device's processing ability, potentially causing noise and instability.
We've simultaneously released updates for both the Duo app and the plugin. Please update both the Duo app and the plugin.
New in v1.7.0:
- Added user preference view to SideRack plugin.
- Added "Buffer Size Multiplier" option to user preferences to manage latency and the max number of racks.
- Enabled MIDI input for SideRack Audio Effect plugin, allowing control of rack plugins via MIDI CC.
- Updated the Duo app to continue processing for a few minutes in the background while a session is active.
- Fixed issue where sound of the subsequent instrument persists when bypassing/deleting plugins that output MIDI.
- Addressed issue where connection between server and plugin disconnects after certain actions.
