Saltline updates Swierk to v1.0.7

Saltline has updated Swierk, the freeware synthesizer for Windows, to version 1.0.7.

Changes:

  • Larger preset bank and new preset manager.
  • 4 extra internal modulation slots.
  • LFO 1+2 signal release.
  • Additional 8 stage envelope added (envelope 3).
  • 3 different metering modes.
  • Oscillator to filter bypass.
  • New user interface.
  • Minor maintenance updates.

The user interface is hard to use because of the black fonts on a rather dark background.

The knobs look good, but their setting is also hard to read as the dot is too small and dark. And there is a light stain on the metal surface which moves as you turn, but shouldn't move, just like shadows.

I can't read many options on the IM matrix drop-down menus as the text is longer than the box is wide.

Add two additional EM modulation slots just like for IM, namely 2 EM 3-4.

Sine wave is missing from the oscillators, which as such sound weak somehow. I guess your synth would sound better if you used the Attila Fustos oscillator modules, which were used in Tarkus. Especially resonance sounds much better.

Sorry to say this ADHDidi was exclusive to facebook fans as a thanks for their support and was only available for a couple of months. I will be updating it this year and making it available again through my facebook page.
