Tsugi has released Alto Studio 4.0, the latest iteration of its audio dialogue tool.
Alto Studio allows voice actors, game teams, sound studios, and localization agencies to quickly ensure that thousands of files in a single or multiple languages are correctly named, and that their audio characteristics - including loudness - are consistent across languages.
Major changes:
- New pitch-colored waveforms for immediate visual comparison of gender, frequency range, and intonations.
- New spectrogram view to track down clicks and other issues.
- New proprietary algorithm for the correction of the integrated loudness of files shorter than 400ms.
- New function to remove files that are either too short, too quiet, or do not contain any audio data from the project.
- 8 new effect racks in Voice FX: Clipper, Comb Filter, Frequency Shifter, Limiter, Resonator, Spectral Delay, Stutter, and Tube.
- Improved game middleware import/export supporting the latest versions of Wwise, ADX2 and FMOD Studio.
- New functions in the command line version (AltoCLI) and in the Alto Studio Plug-In SDK for a better integration with other tools.
The Alto Studio 4.0 update is free for current users. The full version is available on Tsugi's web site for $390 (only for Windows OS at this time). A trial version is also available.
