Tsugi updates GameSynth with new API features

-
Tsugi

Tsugi has updated GameSynth, their procedural sound design tool, to 2023.1.2.

This new release brings many improvements to the GameSynth Tool API, which allows GameSynth to be controlled from any scriptable tool: Reaper, Max, Pure Data, Wwise, Unity, Blender etc. Procedural sound design workflows can now be added to DAWs, audio middleware, animation packages, and more.

New and improved integrations are provided for this version, showcasing the API capabilities:

Examples include:

  • Reaper scripts:
    • Render a variation of the current patch at each marker's position on the timeline.
    • Render unique audio material for as long as needed without any loops or processing.
  • Wwise script:
    • Use the latest UI functions of the API to configure the rendering of sound variations directly in a Container.
  • Blender add-on:
    • Send animation curves to GameSynth to drive its synthesis parameters, resulting in a sound that precisely matches the animation.
  • Max patch (from the community):
    • Load GameSynth patches from Max, play and control them in real-time via their Meta-Parameters.

The full list of API commands and integrations can be found on the GameSynth Tool API website.

The update is free for existing users and can be downloaded directly from the product's page. GameSynth is currently 50% off ($195 instead of $390) during the Black Friday sale until December 15th, 2023.

GameSynth is available for Windows (no MacOS version at this time).
