RLC-79 (based on an Rms Limiter/Compressor from 1979) is a program dependent like "true RMS" compressor with straightforward operation and a simple interface. It's unique character lends itself well to a variety of percussive material (kick drums, toms, bass guitar and more).

My favourite of this developer's free offerings. Aside from looking nice and clean (I'm sure smarter people than me know the actual unit this is based off of), it's incredibly simple to use and very difficult to make it sound bad. I like to use it on guitars and there's minimal pumping etc. even without much tweaking.
